Export & On-Site Assembly

SVLK legal timber verification, phytosanitary fumigation, ocean freight logistics, and master craftsmen traveling on-site for assembly.

It carries something that cannot be manufactured.

It carries history, craftsmanship, culture, and human connection.

Centuries of Resilience Through Flexible Joinery

Indonesia is home to one of the world's most sophisticated vernacular timber traditions. For centuries, master craftsmen created extraordinary architectural pavilions using old-growth teak and intricate mortise-and-tenon interlocking joinery—constructed entirely without modern metal fasteners.

The Architectural Principle of Interlocking Joinery & Seismic Accommodation

Traditional Javanese timber joinery is ingeniously designed to accommodate seismic ground movement. Rather than rigidly opposing dynamic forces, the interlocking Tumpang Sari framework gently flexes and absorbs kinetic energy through friction across dozens of hand-carved joints.

Furthermore, the majestic core pillars (soko guru) rest unanchored upon carved stone plinths (umpak). This ancient base-isolation mechanism allows the structure to self-dampen vibrations while preserving absolute structural equilibrium.

*Structural performance of each restored structure is fully documented, assessed, and can be adapted to local international building codes and site conditions in coordination with your project engineers.
